About The Position

The client seeks a highly technical Integration/Interface Engineer to develop data integrations, APIs, and ETL processes that support real-time, on-demand, batch, and scheduled data exchange and processing between internal and external systems and applications. The role requires strong organization and the ability to manage multiple technical, business, and testing efforts. Responsibilities span requirements gathering, solution design and implementation, and support for go-live and post-implementation activities.

The engineer will work with integration platforms such as IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/App Connect Enterprise (ACE), MuleSoft, or Boomi, along with programming languages, web services, messaging technologies, databases, cloud platforms, and containerized deployments. Candidates with MuleSoft integration design and development experience are preferred in addition to IIB/ACE experience. The position is onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina, for 12+ months, with a possible extension.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in data modeling, OLAP design, and implementation of APIs and ETL processes, including procedures and execution for data cleansing and refreshes.
• 5 years of experience with integration via web services, APIs, and ETL management.
• 5 years of hands-on design, development, and implementation experience with IBM IIB/ACE, MuleSoft, or Boomi.
• 5 years of strong technical experience in cloud and microservices architecture.
• 7 years of hands-on experience building integration patterns and processes and managing, deploying, and supporting APIs.
• 7 years of hands-on experience with databases, PL/SQL, and Linux.
• 7 years of experience with common frameworks such as message queuing, caching, complex mapping, branching, and parallel processing.
• 7 years of strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and flat-file formats, including CSV and fixed-width files.
• 7 years of troubleshooting and debugging experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM IIB/ACE, MuleSoft, or Boomi.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns, REST/SOAP web services, JMS, MQ, XML, JSON, and API development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Solid understanding of system integration, enterprise architecture principles, technical sizing, scalability, and high availability.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing and developing integration solutions using MuleSoft, in addition to IIB/ACE experience.
• 2 years of experience with the AWS cloud platform.
• 2 years of proficiency in Java or Python programming.
• Experience with TeamCity and DevOps tools such as SonarQube.
• Experience with Ant/Maven deployment tools and Bitbucket source control.
• Experience with testing automation tools such as TOSCA and Selenium.
