INTEGRATION ENGINEER

Etactics IncHudson, OH
Onsite

About The Position

Etactics is a leading Medical Claims Clearinghouse dedicated to streamlining healthcare communications. We ensure that critical healthcare data - from medical claims to patient statements - moves securely, accurately, and efficiently between providers, payers, and vendors. We are seeking a highly motivated and communicative Integration Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between our Production Team and our external partners. In this role, you will be the primary technical liaison responsible for the seamless routing of EDI and Patient Statement transaction data to and from partners, payers, vendors, and customers. You won't just be working behind the scenes; you will be the technical face of our integrations. We are looking for a "people person" who is just as comfortable leading a technical discovery call with a new vendor as they are diving into API configurations or upgrading our data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in setting up, configuring, and managing SFTP connections.
  • Deep understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and experience integrating diverse systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client-facing skills. You must be able to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build strong relationships with B2B partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data routing issues in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred (equivalent practical experience is highly valued).
  • Experience working with Java is highly preferred.
  • Additional experience with Python is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with ANSI X12 EDI formats (such as 837, 835, 270/271, etc.) is highly desired.
  • Experience evaluating enterprise integration tools and performing system migrations or upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical resource for the Production Team, assisting with the complex routing, mapping, and troubleshooting of EDI and Patient Statement data.
  • Meet regularly with external partners, payers, vendors, and customers to define integration requirements, establish secure connections, and resolve technical roadblocks.
  • Establish new and maintain existing direct connections to payers to reduce intermediary fees while reducing third-party risk.
  • Take ownership of writing, updating, and maintaining our B2B Integration Guide, ensuring it is clear, accurate, and easy for our partners to consume.
  • Perform routine maintenance on our current integration infrastructure to ensure high availability and secure data transmission.
  • Monitor market trends and industry best practices. Proactively suggest, plan, and execute infrastructure upgrades or replacements to keep our systems cutting-edge.
