We are seeking a highly skilled Process Integration Engineer to lead the development and integration of advanced compound semiconductor technologies. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between R&D and High-Volume Manufacturing and will be a key driver in technology transfer to manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Education: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (p. 2).
  • Experience: 10–15+ years of experience in semiconductor process integration or R&D within a high-volume manufacturing environment (p. 1).
  • MOCVD & Growth Knowledge: Understanding of MOCVD growth (e.g., GaAs on various substrates) and its impact on downstream device integration (p. 2).
  • Metrology & Inspection: Hands-on expertise with AOI optimization, SEM/CD-SEM, and EDX (p. 1).
  • Intellectual Property: A proven track record of innovation, evidenced by patents or trade secrets related to field emitters or device structures (p. 2).

Responsibilities

  • Process Integration & Ownership: Lead the integration of complex process modules (Lithography, Etch, Deposition, and Metrology) for compound semiconductor devices.
  • Technology Transfer: Spearhead the transfer of advanced semiconductor technologies from R&D centers to production fabs under aggressive timelines.
  • Yield & Performance Optimization: Utilize statistical tools to identify root causes of yield loss and implement robust solutions.
  • Device Expertise: Understanding of optoelectronic device operation and processing to optimize manufacturing flows.
  • Advanced Nanofabrication: Develop high-throughput solutions for sub-micron features, such as e-beam lithography for T-gates or nanoimprint lithography for transparent electrodes (pp. 1-2).
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Align the device design, process, and quality teams to meet program milestones and qualify new material stacks or ILD (Interlayer Dielectric) solutions (p. 1).
