About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Specialist, Integration Engineer to integrate, test, configure, troubleshoot, and support complex communications systems involving customized hardware and software. The successful candidate will maintain development, test, and production environments while integrating new technologies and ensuring system stability. This role also has a significant technical training component, requiring the development and delivery of classroom and hands-on training for end users. The training support facility is located in Dayton, Ohio. The selected candidate must be prepared to work on-site at the training facility for seven or more months per year and undertake extended travel assignments.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Graduate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Relevant experience in system integration, testing, and technical training for complex communications systems.
Ability to configure and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
Ability to develop and deliver structured technical training.
Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at the Dayton, Ohio, training facility for seven or more months per year.

Responsibilities

Integrate and test complex communications systems in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Support the setup, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test.
Load custom and commercial software onto multiple systems.
Build, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate new and existing hardware configuration items.
Support service enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
Maintain development, test, and production environments while integrating new technologies.
Maintain system stability and resolve integration and operational issues.
Apply engineering principles, including verification and validation, where applicable.
Develop and execute structured training sessions tailored to customer requirements.
Lead classroom-based and hands-on training events.
Create training materials and technical documentation to support end users.
Master system functionality and train others to use the system successfully.
Support training system operations and take ownership of training classes through completion.
Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and technical skill levels.
Explain complex technical concepts in clear, practical terms.
Incorporate system updates, design-team feedback, and lessons learned into training content.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues to maintain smooth operations.
Work with cross-functional engineering and design teams to understand system updates and technical requirements.
Interface with customer personnel and leadership to support system integration and training.
Provide responsive customer service and foster a positive learning environment.
Communicate technical issues and solutions to engineering teams, program management, and customer leadership.
Travel for extended periods as required.
Support on-site training and system integration activities.
Remain flexible to meet customer schedules and operational requirements.
