About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Integration Engineer Professional to support the Space Force Range Contract. This role involves serving as the Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) for assigned Long Term Range Systems (LTRS) subsystems, managing risks, subsystem anomalies, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) cases. The position requires developing out-year plans and providing input for government funding to address subsystem needs. The Integration Engineer Professional will provide project integration support from contract award through the final transition of Third-Party Developer (TPD) systems into the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) Operations, Maintenance & Support (OM&S) baseline. This includes supporting the development of acquisition documentation, defining and writing requirements for TPD contracts, and coordinating with government customers and internal SFRC stakeholders. A key responsibility is applying risk management principles and overseeing the transition and integration of new or modified systems to ensure they meet SFRC OM&S standards. The role also involves managing and executing systems engineering processes and assisting in developing training tools and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
3+ years of systems engineering experience or related engineering experience.
Fundamental knowledge of engineering lifecycle and systems engineering processes.
Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for system design and testing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
Effective time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Aptitude for rapidly learning new concepts and technologies.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo) is preferred.
Flexibility to work occasional non-standard hours or weekends to support mission requirements.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) for assigned LTRS subsystem(s), managing issues including risk, subsystem anomalies, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) cases.
Develop out-year plans (spend plans) and provide input for Government funding to address subsystem needs.
Provide project integration support from contract award through the final transition of Third-Party Developer (TPD) systems into the SFRC OM&S baseline.
Support the development of acquisition documentation (SOO, SOW, PWS) for TPD procurements and assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) development.
Define and write requirements for TPD contracts based on capabilities and operating concepts in support of SLD30.
Coordinate with Government customers and internal SFRC stakeholders.
Apply risk management principles to identify, assess, plan, and mitigate subsystem and LTRS risks.
Support or manage LTRS Risk Management Working Groups and Risk and Opportunity Management Boards (ROMBs).
Oversee the transition and integration of new or modified systems to ensure they meet SFRC OM&S standards.
Manage and execute systems engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.
Assist in developing training tools and documentation for transitioning systems.
