About The Position

The Integration Developer (CEMI) is responsible for the operational support, maintenance, and enhancement of the institution’s existing Boomi integration portfolio, as well as the design and development of new integrations supporting enterprise system implementations and ongoing business initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring reliable, efficient, and scalable data exchanges across systems. Working in a collaborative environment, the Integration Developer partners with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, and external vendors to translate functional requirements into technical integration solutions. The position requires demonstrated experience in integration and API development, including the ability to independently design, build, test, and deploy complex integrations using Boomi or comparable integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) technologies. The incumbent is expected to operate with minimal supervision, proactively manage multiple concurrent projects, and ensure the availability and performance of integration services. Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences. The Integration Developer must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, including the ability to quickly adopt new tools, technologies, and best practices. The role also requires strong customer service orientation, organizational capability, and the ability to function effectively in a higher education environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines. Technical proficiency in programming and scripting, relational databases (SQL), web services (SOAP/REST), and data formats such as JSON and XML is essential. Experience with languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, and procedural SQL (e.g., PL/SQL), as well as familiarity with project management and business analysis methodologies, is considered advantageous. This is a two (2) year term appointment which may be ended or extended based on organizational needs, funding availability, and performance. While position responsibilities vary, every member of our community is expected to foster a culture of belonging and a healthy work environment by communicating across differences; being cooperative, collaborative, open, and welcoming; showing respect, compassion, and empathy; engaging and supporting others regardless of background or perspective; speaking up when others are being excluded or treated inappropriately; and supporting work/life integration of oneself and others.
