About The Position

RahrBSG is looking for an IT Integration Developer to join their team in Shakopee, MN. The Integration Developer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, enterprise application integration, and software solutions. These solutions must enable the flow of information between various business systems within the organization using an API first approach with MuleSoft as the foundation. The Integration Developer leverages broad technical understanding of various application integration methods and tools as well as process orchestration and monitoring to ensure the company delivers on organizational goals to integrate large systems. This is an hybrid role reporting to our Shakopee campus three days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with integration technologies including IPaaS.
  • 3+ years experience using IPaaS, Mulesoft preferred.
  • Experience working with APIs from commercial software applications (CRM or ERP).
  • Experience with web services, SOAP, JSON, XML Schema Definition (XSD), Extensible Markup Language (XML), business process automation, and orchestration tools and software.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs to support web and mobile applications, CRM, and ERP platforms.
  • Knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture, data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices.
  • Experience building out automated build pipelines using Maven scripts.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and other major databases.
  • Expertise ensuring integration and API security and authentication mechanisms are robust.
  • Proven skills in documenting integrations and APIs effectively for both internal and external consumption.
  • Technical proficiency with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery, and regression test of commercial software.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where effective decision making and rapid iteration are essential, and priorities shift frequently.
  • Ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven skill to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, implements, supports, and reports on integration development plans and strategies.
  • Coordinates activities with appropriate IT and business stakeholders to ensure integration projects are completed on time and according to spec.
  • Formulates strategies and designs architectures for system integrations.
  • Monitors API usage, performance, and analytics.
  • Manages the ongoing maintenance and modifications of current and future API integrations.
  • Ensures API integration solutions are scalable to business needs over time.
  • Develops REST APIs and RAML documents using the MuleSoft Anypoint platform.
  • Creates automated test cases using Junit.
  • Conducts code reviews and implements improvements to enhance API functionality.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements and constraints.
  • Provides guidance to development teams on solution implementation.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate spec and efficient integration and API functionality.
  • Provides expert advice to project teams on the use of integration technology, data architecture and modeling, and system architecture, including integration best practices.
  • Protects the confidentiality, security, and integrity of company information.
  • Stay updated on API development trends and emerging technologies.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs.
