About The Position

As an Integration & Assembly Manufacturing Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for planning, preparing for, and executing air‑vehicle builds, as well as related testing and ground-support operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background and a high degree of confidence in addressing complex, unfamiliar challenges, especially in hands-on hardware environments. They will be a self-motivated problem-solver, capable of working independently while also thriving in collaborative team settings and supplier-facing situations.

Requirements

  • Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience creating content using manufacturing and engineering and manufacturing software systems such as: iBASEt (Solumina), 3DX / CATIA V5.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance within 8 months of submission and gain special‑program access within 3 months of submission
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in aerospace hardware development, integration, and manufacturing environments.
  • Development / prototype / first article aircraft program support
  • 1+ years of experience with development / prototype / first‑article aircraft engineering program support
  • Liquid rocket engine integration and test
  • Hypersonic or high‑temperature thermal‑protection systems and hardware
  • Fuel and hydraulic systems, wire‑harness and interconnect installation / integration
  • CNC‑machining working knowledge
  • 3DX / CATIA V5 software usage; PLM and ERP software proficiency
  • Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations, as well as interfacing with production employees
  • Review of engineering technical drawings and models / designs with respect to Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) considerations
  • Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine hardware integration, assembly, manufacturing processes and build sequences.
  • Collaborate with design engineering teams and other disciplines to provide feedback on designs and specifications, ensuring manufacturability and optimal use of available equipment and methods.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to hardware, tooling, process capability, and production inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Evaluate equipment and tool performance to verify efficiency, reliability, and alignment with production requirements.
  • Respond to production issues and facilitate removal of build constraints with extreme ownership.
  • Operate within a model-based engineering environment using platforms such as 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE) and iBASEt Solumina to develop digital work instructions and manage process documentation.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve build time, cost, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations.
  • Provide periodic off-shift support as needed to sustain production and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Travel periodically to other sites or vendors for technical support and integration activities.
