About The Position

This position provides strategic leadership in the design and governance of enterprise data ecosystems. They define and drive data management strategies, policies, and standards to ensure data integrity, compliance, and optimal use across the organization. This role oversees the implementation of advanced tools and technologies, guiding teams in building scalable, secure, and integrated data solutions. Partnering with executives and stakeholders, the senior architect translates complex data requirements into actionable frameworks that enable innovation and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
  • 7 years proven experience in data architecture or solution design within BI, analytics, or data engineering domains and hands-on experience with DAX, SQL, and at least one scripting language (Python or Spark).
  • Ability to understand complex business processes, rules, and business acumen to become a subject matter expert.
  • Advanced knowledge of business intelligence applications and modeling concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL packages, strategic design of extractions, and data integration process.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
  • Proficiency in dimensional modeling, ELT/ETL processes, and semantic modeling.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 7 years experience with finance, healthcare, retail, insurance, or other data-intensive industries.
  • Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud data environments.
  • Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns (e.g., lakehouse, data mesh).

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI, Synapse).
  • Develop and maintain robust data models, pipelines, and semantic layers to support analytics and reporting.
  • Lead technical implementation of data platform modernization initiatives, including migration to Fabric.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to translate business needs into data architecture blueprints.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and security standards across projects.
  • Conduct performance tuning and cost optimization of data workflows and reporting assets.
  • Provide technical mentorship to architects and engineers; contribute to architectural reviews and standards.
