About The Position

VSC Fire & Security in Tampa, Florida is seeking candidates for the position of Integrated Systems Technician Trainee. This role involves assisting in the installation, service, and inspection of integrated systems under the guidance of a licensed Integrated Systems Technician. Integrated systems may include fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, IP cameras, networking infrastructure, telecom, BDA, DAS, audio/video, nurse call, area of refuge, intercom, and various other systems from brands like Crestron, Extron, Honeywell, Notifier, Gamewell FCI, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, Siemens, and AutoCall/JCI. Responsibilities

Accurately interpret instructions and directives as assigned by supervisor.
Effectively communicate relevant project or service information to supervisor.
Complete work in a timely manner as outlined by supervisor.
Effectively communicate with others – including by not limited to co-workers, supervisors, and job site.
Occasional use of computers, phones, email, copier and/or other office technology.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Exercise a modest level of independent judgment in to perform assigned duties.
Understand and operate industry specific tools to make sure a system is installed and serviced properly.
Assist with the installation, service, and inspection of integrated systems under the guidance of a supervisor. This may include, but not limited to; fire alarm, fire suppression, access control, video surveillance, intercom, sound/security systems, and other life safety and integrated systems.
