About The Position

The Boeing Company, specifically Boeing Space Mission Systems, is seeking an experienced Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist (Level 3 or 4) for the Strategic Satellite Communications Programs (SSCP) program team in El Segundo, CA. This role will support the Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Government Satellite Proprietary Programs. The ideal candidate will recognize the importance of leadership and user experience in managing government program schedules, including production, development, agile software, and Project Server portfolio management, to achieve organizational objectives. As part of the Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) team, responsibilities include developing proposal plans and schedules, establishing baseline execution schedules, maintaining current schedules, conducting critical path analysis and what-if planning, and supporting the delivery of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) Format 6 deliverables. The Scheduler will be involved in all IP&S activities, delivering valuable products to customers through roles such as Portfolio Management (architecting and leading portfolio networking in Project Server), Program Planning (developing initial planning products like IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule), Program Scheduling (developing the Integrated Master Schedule - IMS), Detailed Scheduling & Change Management (developing and maintaining lower-level schedules), Change Integration (managing change integration teams), and Project Management (leading key initiatives to enhance execution).

Requirements

3+ years of Project or Program management experience
3+ years of experience developing and integrating program-level master schedules
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as: Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project Professional, Enterprise Project Management, or a similar tool
Strong communication skills
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Level 4: 5 or more years of related experience or a combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
Experience leading a team or a project
OPP scheduling tool experience
Experience working with large data sets required (e.g. advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI)
Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities

In charge of the program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
Serve as the technical lead for the IP&S team in developing, integrating, and maintaining the IMS reporting to the Program Management team.
Supplier scheduling integration, analysis, and review.
Work closely with the Integrated Product Team Leads, to ensure alignment and integration of the Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) with other key program plans and schedules (e.g. Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Master Phasing Plan, Critical Path Analysis, High-Level Flow (HLF)).
Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning).
Provide robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action.
Lead the integration of supplier and partner plans and schedules into the IMS to ensure the whole team is operating collaboratively.
Model driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning, and improved schedule visibility/visualization.
Support reviews and brief senior leadership and customers.
