About The Position

The Integrated Modular Avionics team is seeking a highly talented First-Line Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the team in Everett, WA. In this role, the manager will lead a dynamic team of engineers in the development, validation, verification, integration, and certification of the Integrated Modular Avionics System. The manager will also support maintenance and customer service for in-service airplanes. This role emphasizes engineering quality and meeting our commitments, while fostering a collaborative, safe, and engaging team environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the development, integration, and verification of aircraft systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in leadership or management role.
  • Knowledge of FAA certification processes and safety analysis.
  • Experience with qualification testing or lab testing.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
  • Proven track record managing risks and issues to resolution.
  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values
  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and global teams to facilitate effective communication.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality, encouraging team members to raise concerns and suggest improvements.
