About The Position

Trilogy Federal is seeking an Integrated Master Scheduler to support a large Federal agency focused on modernizing IT functions. The role involves designing, developing, and managing the VA Program’s Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related reports. The Integrated Master Scheduler will create a comprehensive scheduling framework to manage 30-35 concurrent projects, overseeing the creation, management, monitoring, and integrity of multiple project schedules. This position requires regular interaction with stakeholders, including the customer, to provide weekly schedule status and metrics. The role also involves coordinating with customer, contracts, PMO, and Senior Management teams on inter-dependencies, training the scheduling team, and producing enterprise-level reports. The Integrated Master Scheduler will also make recommendations on process control, risk management, assignment coordination, and activity duration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of total experience with 5 years of hands-on MS-Project Experience.
  • Proven work experience developing and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrates initiative and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.
  • Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating macros for MS Project.
  • Experience working in a large healthcare organization such as a hospital, health system, or health insurance company.
  • Certified PMI PMP or scheduling credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating a large VA program office's integrated master schedule, including routine schedule management, dependency tracking, risk identification, and coordination across all relevant program stakeholders.
  • Coordinating multi-project schedules across the VA program office into an IMS, ensuring team timelines fit together smoothly for overall program synchronization.
  • Working with project management staff, VA program office leaders, and current support for individual project schedules to identify tasks for incorporation into the aligned overall IMS.
  • Creating and managing integrated master schedule(s) that combine all sub-projects, workstreams, and dependencies across the program.
  • Ensuring cross-project alignment by identifying how different teams' work impacts each other and coordinating milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Analyzing schedule performance, running critical-path analysis, tracking progress, forecasting delays, and providing early warnings to leadership.
  • Facilitating communication with designated Government staff (e.g., project managers, analysts, and PMO teams) to gather updates and resolve timeline conflicts.
  • Applying industry scheduling standards and tools to ensure schedules follow organizational requirements and standards.
  • Supporting risk management by identifying schedule risks, running 'what-if' scenarios, and helping develop mitigation strategies.
  • Providing reporting, insights, and recommendations, including creating dashboards, summaries, and schedule health assessments for leadership.
  • Maintaining applicable governance processes.
  • Enforcing change-control rules to ensure updates to the IMS and project schedules are accurate, documented, and approved.
