About The Position

The Integrated Business Planning Manager is responsible for connecting Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams into a single integrated planning process. This role owns the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, planning analytics, key performance indicator (KPI) governance, and scenario modeling to ensure executive decision-making is driven by data and aligned business plans. The Integrated Business Planning Manager serves as the central link between forecasted demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory strategy, and customer service objectives. This role drives the evolution from a traditional Demand/Supply Planning organization toward a mature Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, industrial engineering, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • 8 years’ progressive experience in supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment, including demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory management, MRP, and capacity planning.
  • Experience in fast-paced food, beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.
  • Experience working with batch and unit production environments, including both make-to-order and make-to-stock planning models.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory control processes.
  • Strong analytical and business analysis skills, including forecasting, scenario planning, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, solve complex problems, and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Master’s degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or Six Sigma certification.
  • Prior experience in a Master Planning, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or equivalent planning leadership role.
  • JD Edwards (JDE) system experience.
  • Experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Experience in cGMP manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the monthly S&OP cycle from data collection through executive review.
  • Develop and maintain standardized S&OP deliverables and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate demand, supply, inventory, and financial inputs across functions.
  • Ensure alignment between demand plans, capacity plans, and business objectives.
  • Facilitate monthly cross-functional planning meetings and document decisions and action items.
  • Drive accountability for execution of agreed-upon plans.
  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply and capacity requirements.
  • Identify supply constraints, capacity gaps, and inventory risks.
  • Lead demand-supply balancing discussions.
  • Develop scenarios and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Quantify impacts of demand changes on capacity, inventory, service levels, and financial performance.
  • Create a structured process for escalation and resolution of planning conflicts.
  • Partner with IT and business teams support planning system implementation and standardization across all sites.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead implementation of planning best practices and process standardization.
  • Support future planning system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish a planning analytics capability that supports proactive decision-making.
  • Design and maintain executive dashboards and scorecards.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to replace manual reporting activities.
  • Provide analysis on service, inventory, forecast performance, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Support annual budgeting and strategic planning activities through scenario modeling.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized planning KPI framework across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Operations.
