About The Position

ThinkWell seeks an Integrated Behavioral Consultant to provide technical leadership in the application of person-centered approaches to improve health system performance and health outcomes. The consultant will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health interventions and contribute to new business development activities to expand ThinkWell’s behavioral health practice. This is a six month consultant role with approximately 15-20 hours a week reporting to the Director of Mental Health.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree and 15+ years of experience providing technical assistance, training, and collaborative facilitation; licensed behavioral health clinician preferred
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in developing high-quality documents with minimal supervision
  • A senior leader, able to rally staff around ThinkWell’s mission and priorities;
  • A thoughtful systems thinker with grounded, pragmatic understanding of the complexities of our work;
  • Recognized as a leader in the area of technical specialty; strong professional network in the behavioral health field
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with external strategic partners, donors, and other stakeholders;
  • New business development, proposal writing and fundraising experience;
  • Adept at communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to relate respectfully with staff at all levels, ages, genders, and orientations as well as across work areas;
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate a quality improvement collaborative including behavioral health clinicians, community-based staff, and administrative leadership for up to 20 organizations
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching and technical assistance for learning collaborative participants
  • Support business development efforts by identifying and cultivating new funding opportunities, contributing to capture strategies, strategic partnerships, and donor engagement across the mental health and global health portfolios.
  • Lead and contribute to proposal development processes, including technical approach design, staffing plans, work planning, budget inputs, and preparation of high-quality, competitive submissions for local and state government, clinical organization, professional association, and foundation-funded opportunities.
