Intake Specialist
About The Position
The Intake Specialist is the liaison between the Admissions Department and Program Staff. They are responsible for representing and introducing professionals, clients, and families to Newport Healthcare, acclimating clients into the environment, and facilitating all intake activities. This role involves establishing rapport with clients, families, and other professionals, coordinating face-to-face assessments, collecting and ensuring accuracy of admissions-related paperwork, and generating EHR charts for new admits. The Intake Specialist also conducts tours and assists the Admissions Department with over-the-phone assessments as needed.
Requirements
- Associate degree or high school diploma and two (2) years of customer service experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two years’ experience in Admission and/or behavioral health preferred.
- Two years residential treatment or inpatient experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act independently to recognize, acknowledge, and ensure clients engagement upon arrival.
- Establish rapport with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Facilitate all intake activities.
- Coordinate face-to-face assessments.
- Collect and ensure all admissions related paperwork is accurately completed.
- Generate EHR chart for all new admits.
- Conduct tours.
