About The Position

The Intake Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the coordination of assessments of incoming patients with A&R Counselors. They coordinate provider admission orders and initiate the admission process with the Admissions Clerk and Admissions Clinicians. The RN actively engages in the health care team, offering both direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians. They continuously assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients throughout their care journey, utilizing the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SPBH. The role upholds a safe therapeutic environment grounded in core values and collaborates as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
  • Able to produce a valid Washington State RN license.
  • A minimum of three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Demonstrate exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in the face of stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
