Intake Registered Nurse RN-PRN
About The Position
West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Intake Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The Intake Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of assessments of incoming patients with Intake Patient Access Rep’s and Intake Assessors, coordinates Doctor's assessments and initiates the Admission process. The Intake Registered Nurse provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of Intake Services. West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Their 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. They offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults, with treatment offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. The hospital is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist with treatment options and insurance coverage, and is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing either through ADN, Diploma or BSN Program.
- Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure.
- CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
- None (preferred: Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience).
