Intake Nurse (RN or LPN)

GASTROENTEROLOGY SPECIALTIES PC•Lincoln, NE
•Onsite

About The Position

Join a Growing Gastroenterology Team! We are a busy, physician-owned Gastroenterology practice with 33 providers dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As our practice continues to grow, including the addition of new providers and expanded procedure capacity, we are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse to join our Intake team. This role is ideal for an RN or LPN who enjoys patient education, care coordination, and ensuring patients are fully prepared for their procedures. Unlike many traditional nursing roles, this position is primarily office-based, with most work performed by telephone and computer through patient assessments, education, care coordination, and electronic documentation. If you are organized, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in helping patients feel informed and prepared, we'd love to meet you! The Intake Nurse is responsible for coordinating and completing pre-procedure assessments and preparation activities for patients scheduled for endoscopic procedures and related services. This role reviews medical histories, evaluates procedure readiness, coordinates medication management instructions, provides patient education, and ensures all required documentation is completed before procedures are performed. This is primarily a desk-based nursing position with the majority of work conducted via telephone, electronic medical records, and other computer-based systems rather than direct bedside patient care.
