About The Position

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas is a premier behavioral health hospital providing inpatient psychiatric treatment for children, adolescents, and senior adults. Located on 22 serene acres just outside the Dallas metroplex, our facility offers a safe, supportive, and empowering environment focused on delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare. Our mission is to build a fully integrated and effective behavioral healthcare system while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. This position performs complex social, therapeutic, and psychosocial intake services for incarcerated individuals participating in our diversion program. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Intake and collaborates closely with A&R Clinicians and Registered Nurses to support patients throughout the admissions and intake process. Strong customer service skills and effective communication are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • At least one (1) year of related experience in psychiatric or behavioral health.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Successful completion of CPR and Handle with Care or Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, social services, healthcare, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health practices and patient care principles preferred.
  • Psychiatric Technician: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist A&R Clinicians and Registered Nurses with patient intake and admissions processes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with patients, families, referral sources, and community partners.
  • Monitor and document patient care and activities.
  • Assist with patient assessments and intake evaluations.
  • Escort patients throughout the facility as needed.
  • Support therapeutic and psychosocial services during the admission process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and excellent customer service in all interactions.
  • Adherent to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
