About The Position

This is a temporary, full-time, 12-week assignment for a Registered Counselor in California. The counselor will provide support and assistance to patients in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills to improve their quality of life. The counselor will collaborate with doctors, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patient progress and develop individualized plans of care. Requirements

Registered Counselor in the State of California.
Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling services at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices, and state regulations.
Coordinate all services throughout treatment.
Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor.
