About The Position

The Intake Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Intake and the Chief Admissions Officer, is responsible for facilitating the admission process. As a member of the Intake and Admissions team, the Dual Site Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing admission referrals, filling the beds at both sites, verifying insurance, registering patients in the electronic medical record, and for communicating census updates. Welcoming patients to the Vista's, maintaining patient privacy and safety, screening referrals and accepting patients to fill beds, registering patients, verifying insurance, providing census updates to Intake Leadership, and completing all legal documents as required. Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Intake and the Chief Admissions Officer.

Requirements

• CPR certification required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities
• Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries
• Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record
• Crisis management and time management skills
• Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner

Nice To Haves

• Previous psychiatric/substance inpatient experience preferred
• Previous Intake/Admissions experience strongly preferred
