About The Position

What is your impact? As an Intake Coordinator you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service for the Precertification and Utilization Department. Work Schedule: Work schedule availability required Monday - Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm Central Time

Requirements

• 2 years related work experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Professional phone voice and etiquette.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Easily adaptable to a changing environment and can switch between tasks quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Medical coding/terminology knowledge preferred.
• Call center experience in the health insurance industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and input initial demographics for inpatient and outpatient pre-certification.
• Responsible for professional interactions telephonically.
• Screen calls appropriately and work with clinicians to ensure optimal turnaround times.
• Print, correct and forward reports requested to nurses or supervisor.
• Responsible for managing all clinical faxes and ensuring all regulatory timelines are met.
• Must meet all regulatory and compliance requirements for Utilization Management.
• Identification of any errors within multiple systems utilized and forward to supervisor as indicated.
