About The Position
Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, referred to as an "Infusion Guide," who is passionate about improving infusion therapy care. This role is crucial for the company's growth, involving detailed referral and intake coordination, excellent customer service, and physician customer service. The Infusion Guide will ensure patients receive the highest level of care in infusion therapy. This is a Full-Time, onsite position based in Charlotte, NC, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have experience reading medical charts and working with insurance pre-authorizations. This role offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload, making it ideal for those interested in healthcare innovation.
Requirements
- Health Care Experience Required
- Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
- Medical Terminology Experience
- Overall Medical Insurance Experience
- Ability to quickly grasp new apps
- Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Provide documentation of a negative TB test (within the last two years)
- Possess a current BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
- Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
- Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
