The Intake Coordinator orchestrates smooth admissions with empathy, accuracy, and urgency — bringing steady energy and teamwork to our busiest hours. This role turns first calls into first steps toward recovery.

Requirements

• Superb communication, multitasking, and EMR proficiency.
• Calm under pressure with customer-service excellence.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 yrs or older.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare admissions or behavioral health front-office experience preferred.
• STNA, MHT, BHT

Responsibilities

• Answer referral lines; triage calls from families, EDs, and providers with warmth and professionalism.
• Verify insurance, gather demographics, and schedule assessments/admissions.
• Track bed board and collaborate with nursing, EVS, and security for timely room readiness.
• Maintain real-time logs, dashboards, and handoffs between shifts.
• Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving.
• Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.
