About The Position

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative 120-bed behavioral health hospital located in Scottsdale, Arizona, offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. These services cater to teens, adults, and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and co-occurring addictions. The Intake Coordinator, working under the direction of the Director of Intake, is responsible for coordinating various aspects of the intake and assessment process and providing direct patient care. This role involves handling inquiry calls, processing referrals for potential admissions, maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff, as well as managing insurance verification, precertification, patient registration, observations, scheduling evaluations, admissions processing, and bed board monitoring.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1 year of experience in social services, community mental/behavioral health, mental-health setting, inpatient setting and performing administrative duties, crisis interventions, and customer service
Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

Coordinating aspects of the intake/assessment process
