About The Position

DeCoach Recovery Centre is a leading addiction treatment center dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. We offer a range of evidence-based treatments and therapies tailored to each patient's unique needs, with a focus on long-term recovery and wellness. We are seeking an Intake Specialist to join our Dayton team !! The Intake Specialist is responsible for managing the initial client interaction and intake process. This role involves gathering detailed information, assessing client needs, and ensuring clients are directed to the appropriate services. The Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact and plays a crucial role in facilitating a smooth and efficient intake process.

Requirements

Diploma, or a degree in the related field.
Previous experience in an intake role, customer service, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or similar databases.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Empathetic and compassionate, with a genuine interest in helping others.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial interviews with clients to gather personal, medical, and social information.
Assess client needs, eligibility for services, and urgency of service requirements.
Provide information to clients about available services and programs.
Accurately document all client interactions, assessments, and relevant information in the organization's database.
Ensure confidentiality and security of client information in compliance with organizational policies and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication with clients and their families.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding client status and any concerns.
Manage and schedule intake appointments.
Prepare and distribute intake forms and informational materials.
Assist in the development and improvement of intake procedures and documentation.
Ensure all intake activities comply with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
Prepare regular reports on intake activities and outcomes.
