This is a Full-Time, onsite position based in Newport News, VA, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role requires experience in reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations. It offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload, making it ideal for those interested in healthcare innovation.

Requirements

Passion for Patient Care and Delivering Exceptional Patient Experiences
Health Care Experience Required
Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
Medical Terminology Experience
Overall Medical Insurance Experience
Ability to quickly grasp new apps
Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Documentation of a negative TB test (within the last two years)
Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigation.
Liaise with referring providers to obtain necessary documentation for treatment and communicate patient status.
Communicate the referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric manner.
Communicate openly with referring and prescribing providers.
Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
