About The Position

Beth Israel Lahey Health At Home is seeking an Intake Associate to join their growing team. This is a 40-hour position, Monday - Friday (9am-5:30pm), with a hybrid/remote schedule following an initial training period in Woburn, MA. The Intake Associate provides a supportive role to the Intake department and other management personnel, assisting with administrative clerical functions, processing demographics for EMR charts, managing active patient orders, and communicating patient status changes with other departments.

Requirements

  • High school graduate required
  • Strong computer skills, with experience using Outlook and Excel, are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in healthcare related field or business is preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a medical setting (MD office, Urgent Care) as a Medical Assistant or a Medical Secretary is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using EPIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers and patients.
  • Handle a variety of telephone calls from referral sources, patients, and MD offices.
  • Communicates with clinicians and staff on behalf of the Intake Department or other management personnel as assigned.
  • Coordinates projects and special events as needed.
  • Performs general office duties, such as faxing, copying, answering telephones, etc.
  • May perform receptionist duties as needed.
  • Train other Administrative Associates as needed.
  • Orients new staff to office equipment and procedures.
  • Participates on agency committees as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
