About The Position

Wellstone Regional Hospital, a 100-bed acute care facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana, serves adolescents, children, and adults through inpatient and outpatient programs. The Intake Clinician facilitates requests for services and resource referrals, assesses the clinical needs of patients and families, and interfaces with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payors. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, working Friday through Sunday from 9 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in patient assessment, referral, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
• Complete a CPR course.
• Complete CPI before working independently.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric, mental health, or chemical dependency setting.
