About The Position

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is seeking motivated, dependable, and dedicated caregivers to provide exceptional direct care and support to patients as an A&R Clinician. This role involves assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. The A&R Clinician assesses all ages, collaborates with a physician to determine a proper disposition, and provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&R. As the first point of contact with the community, the A&R Clinician excels at providing resources and support to callers and walk-ins, and offers general support to the case management program. The Registered Nurse component of this role assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with health team members, in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice.

Requirements

  • Preferably two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam.
  • A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
