The Insurance Verifier associate is responsible for entering, correcting, and verifying all patient demographics and financial billing information in the practice management system and patient record. This role ensures insurance verification is completed accurately and within a minimum of three days prior to the date of service. The associate will also be responsible for data entry into the patient accounting software (HST), ensuring authorization forms are in the medical record, contacting patients to communicate responsibility due, and verifying a minimum of thirty-five accounts daily. Additionally, the role involves ensuring Health Stream education is up-to-date, participating in departmental and facility-wide meetings, maintaining punctuality and adherence to company policy, and assisting in the orientation of new staff to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
