About The Position

USPI Medical Park Tower Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Full-Time Insurance Verifier to join their team. The surgery center has 5 OR rooms and performs outpatient surgical procedures in General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, and Urology. The position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule is subject to change based on the surgical schedule and the flow of the day.

Requirements

• Schedule flexibility based on surgical schedule and flow of the day
• Proficiency in validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into computer systems
• Ability to review contracts and patient's quoted benefits to verify insurance
• Skill in determining co-pays
• Experience posting insurance and billing comments
• Proficiency in entering information into patient accounting systems
• Ability to contact patients regarding money due prior to surgery
• Experience communicating with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups

Responsibilities

• Validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system.
• Verify insurance benefits by reviewing our contract and patient’s quoted benefits.
• Determine co-pay.
• Post all insurance and billing comments.
• Enter all information into the patient accounting system.
• Contact patients regarding money due prior to the date of surgery.
• Communicate with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups.
