Requirements

High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
1 year of experience with patient registration, insurance and benefit eligibility verification required
Epic experience
Experience navigating payer portals (e.g., Availity, Noridian, and various PPO/HMO portals) to pull eligibility manually when Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) fails.
Solid understanding of different insurance plans and IPAs

Responsibilities

Reviews and verifies patient demographic information, guarantor, and insurance information.
Insurance verifications
Authorization notifications
Multi-line telephone coverage
Data entry in practice management system
Referrals/physician orders
Collections
Financial verifications
