About The Position

The Insurance Verification Representative is responsible for the pre-verification of insurance for patients being admitted into the hospital for care. This role ensures insurance coverage by telephone, resolves any issues with coverage, and escalates complicated issues to a supervisor or manager. The representative also interviews patients and completes all necessary paperwork to ensure an efficient admitting process and compliance with all hospital and regulatory policies. This is a varied role that typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience required.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities
