About The Position

The Goldman Sachs Ayco Personal Financial Management team is seeking a quick-thinking self-starter with a passion for financial markets, a desire to work with high-net-worth individuals, and the ability to think outside the box. This role involves providing proactive financial counseling and full-service implementation, including tax preparation and investments, to address the complexities faced by executives, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. Professionals in this role need an understanding of the markets and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, strong communication skills, and client service are crucial. Goldman Sachs Ayco partners with Fortune 1000 companies to deliver tailored financial planning programs, leveraging Ayco's 50-year heritage and Goldman Sachs' comprehensive resources. The Wealth Strategies Group (WSG) within Goldman Sachs Ayco provides risk management solutions to advisors and clients across Goldman's Wealth Management business, focusing on transforming, modernizing, and scaling the business, which currently generates over $1.4B in annual Life, Annuity, and Long-Term care new business premiums. The planning-focused practice consists of 56 team members operating in 7 wealth management offices.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Hold or be prepared to obtain within four months of joining the firm, active Series 7 or Series 6 licenses.
  • An active Life and Health Insurance license is also required within four months of joining.
  • Bring 1-3 years of direct, hands-on experience with life insurance and annuity products.
  • Exhibit superior verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly, concisely, and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Possess proven direct client-facing experience with a demonstrated ability to cultivate and nurture robust professional relationships, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail, strong self-motivation, and a collaborative spirit, thriving in a dynamic team environment.
  • Exhibit a proven capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Maintain strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Possess an unwavering commitment to accuracy, precision, and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines without compromising the highest standards of quality and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate intimately with Wealth Advisors and their teams to provide sophisticated support for existing client relationships, encompassing comprehensive wealth strategies services, in-depth research, and continuous analysis and monitoring to optimize financial outcomes and ensure client success.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, educating account managers and financial planners on advanced insurance planning strategies.
  • Partner strategically with Wealth Strategist and Annuity Marketing teams to develop and deliver impactful internal presentations on critical topics such as wealth transfer, income protection strategies, and product innovations.
  • Proactively develop and cultivate existing client relationships to identify and capitalize on new Wealth Strategies Group (WSG)-related opportunities.
  • Seamlessly complement regional Wealth Strategist and/or Annuity Marketing teams by actively pursuing and amplifying marketing efforts.
  • Design, formulate, and implement bespoke wealth strategy plans tailored precisely to clients' unique needs and objectives.
  • Engage directly with account managers and clients to collaboratively identify, articulate, and address key objectives surrounding insurance planning and comprehensive risk management solutions, safeguarding client assets and future.
  • Drive significant revenue growth by consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious regional targets, thereby making a direct and substantial contribution to the overall departmental financial goals.
  • Elevate the client experience by consistently delivering exemplary service standards, fostering deep trust, and ensuring unparalleled client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, serving as a mentor and role model for other associates.
  • Partner strategically with senior management on key initiatives, actively contributing to the professional growth and development of Ayco Associates and strengthening team capabilities.
