GENERAL FUNCTION: Sell insurance to new and existing retail clients, and service the needs of existing accounts. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7 or 6, appropriate state resident insurance licenses for Life, Health, Long Term Care, and Variable Annuity certification.
  • 7+ years industry experience.
  • College Degree.

  • MDRT Qualification History.
  • Professional Designations. CLU, CFP, ChFC degrees highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and insurance solutions to retail clients based on their objectives and needs.
  • Develop proactive referral relationships with Retail Investment Executives and other Retail staff to prospect and set appointments with clients to review their objectives and present solutions that align with client needs, goals and risk tolerance.
  • Establish and implement sales plans with the Insurance Company partner Wholesalers for product training and sales concept training to the Retail teams.
  • Manage and implement the rollout out of new product or sales initiatives working with Insurance Companies, Retail Management and Retail sales teams.
  • Maintain and service books of business.
  • Work with the GA and Retail sales team to manage cases through the application and underwriting process including but not limited to: explaining to client the underwriting process, working with Retail sales team and GA to obtain carrier requirements, and completing policy delivery requirements.
  • Manage Policy Review process including but not limited to: training sales team on how to prospect for opportunities using policy reviews; work with the GA to evaluate policy reviews; and present policy review solutions to clients.
  • Manage and conduct client seminars in partnership with Insurance Company Wholesalers and the Retail sales team.
  • Participate in Retail call nights or other Retail sales initiatives as directed by FTIA or Retail Management.
  • Keeps current with Bank compliance, policies and procedures, and carrier relationships.
  • Pursues professional studies and maintains a familiarity with industry trends, products, and concepts.
  • Must be able to meet and present sales ideas and complex topics with clients and their other professional advisors.
  • Must maintain all CE and other Compliance requirements as determined by FTIA.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
