The Insurance Specialist will sell insurance to new and existing retail clients, and service the needs of existing accounts. As a Provide and Fifth Third Bank team member, you will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience selling insurance policies to individuals or small business owners, preferably in a small-agency environment (or previous experience in a sales role).
  • College Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and insurance solutions to retail clients based on their objectives and needs.
  • Develop proactive referral relationships with Practice Finance Directors to prospect clients to review their objectives and present solutions that align with client needs, goals and risk tolerance.
  • Tenaciously advance deals, increasing conversion and reducing attrition by removing obstacles and motivating the players involved when necessary.
  • Knowledgeably and empathetically help doctors understand the ins and outs of the policies they’re obtaining, providing detail when necessary but also keeping them focused on the bigger goal of meeting their closing and funding timelines.
  • Work closely with a network of preferred insurance-carrier partners, developing efficient submission processes, clear lines of communication, and timely reporting.
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality and professionalism, particularly when dealing with sensitive health information.
  • Understand and respect the required separation between this new insurance business and our existing lending business.
  • Maintain active licenses and necessary certifications across all 50 states.
  • Be a positive representative of the brand in the healthcare practice industry by providing best-in-class service.
  • Enable a strong feedback loop from customers to the company’s product, marketing, and revenue organizations -- and external partners -- to scale growth.
  • Maintain and service books of business.
  • Keep current with compliance, policies and procedures, and carrier relationships.
  • Pursue professional studies and maintain a familiarity with industry trends, products, and concepts.
  • Meet and present sales ideas and complex topics with clients and their other professional advisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
