About The Position

We are looking to hire an Insurance Sales Agent Aspirant for our Mount Laurel, NJ office. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn the insurance sales profession under the guidance of an experienced and highly successful agent. The selected candidate will develop the essential skills needed to become a top-performing agent. The ideal applicant already holds an active Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license and is seeking additional training in networking and prospecting to generate leads.

Requirements

Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Mount Laurel, NJ office.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong computer skills – typing, data entry and learning new platforms
Active P&C license for resident state required
Active L&H license for resident state preferred (must obtain prior to promotion to Insurance Sales Agent).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Sales Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prospecting using leads from Mentor Agent book of business and Lead Management System.
Quoting new business proposals when applicable.
Following our sales process to adequately present and close new business.
Developing Centers of Influence through various networking opportunities throughout community.
Follow-up on outstanding leads generated by associate or Mentor Agent.
Active Cross-Selling of Home/Auto/Life (if licensed) policies to existing policyholders.
