About The Position

The Insurance & Risk Analyst supports CyrusOne's global insurance and enterprise risk management programs across data center operations, construction activities and investments. The role is responsible for insurance program administration, risk and claims data analysis, project and operational risk support and ERM reporting. This position works closely with internal stakeholders, insurance brokers and external partners to maintain accurate insurance information, support renewals and claims activities, identify insurance requirements and provide analysis and reporting to Risk Management leadership.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, commercial insurance, insurance brokerage or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance programs, including policy administration, certificates of insurance, renewals and claims.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, insurance brokers, vendors and other external partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and appropriately escalate complex insurance or risk matters.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, real estate, infrastructure, data centers or another asset-intensive environment preferred.
  • Experience with Enterprise Risk Management, automation or technology-enabled process improvement preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered.
  • Insurance or risk management designations such as ARM, CPCU, CRM or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain insurance policies, schedules, coverage documentation, certificates of insurance and related records.
  • Support annual insurance renewals, including collection and organization of underwriting, exposure and project data and coordination with internal stakeholders and insurance brokers.
  • Partner with business teams to identify and document insurance requirements associated with construction projects, vendors, contractors, investments and ongoing operations.
  • Maintain project and risk trackers and escalate identified insurance gaps, documentation issues or material risk concerns as appropriate.
  • Coordinate catastrophe modeling and other property-risk information used to evaluate insurance exposures across the CyrusOne portfolio.
  • Support claims reporting and administration, including documentation, tracking, stakeholder coordination and escalation of significant or complex claims.
  • Analyze claims activity, insurance premiums, exposure information and other risk data to support reporting and identify trends or areas of potential exposure.
  • Assist with insurance premium allocations and insurance-related financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Support the Enterprise Risk Management program through maintenance of risk records, stakeholder updates, mitigation tracking and recurring reporting.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, analyses and project updates for the Global Director of Risk Management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve Risk Management processes, reporting and workflows through standardization, automation and technology.
  • Participate in cross-functional and special projects involving insurance, enterprise risk and related business needs.
