About The Position

This role as an Insurance Representative is based in our Newry Branch Office. Full training is provided. We are looking for positive customer service professionals with a passion for customer service, a natural talent for connecting with people, quick problem-solving ability, and great communication and computer skills. You will engage with customers face to face and over the telephone, promote branch profitability and community presence to achieve business targets, and provide professional, sales-driven face-to-face customer service to attract and retain clients. You will maximize customer engagement through in-branch visits, phone, and outbound activities, optimize cross-selling and upselling opportunities, encourage self-service and a customer-first approach, and leverage local relationships via various engagement channels. You will build trusted relationships through community and affinity engagement to support branch growth, prioritize workloads effectively, ensure compliance with all regulatory, legislative, and internal policies, and manage cash handling and expenses. You will also participate in cross-departmental projects and analyze local market data to identify trends and suggest improvements. A comprehensive induction and structured training program with specialist trainers will be provided, with a blended delivery in branch, at a main office location, and from home. The training is 4 weeks full time, and all IT & office kit will be provided, enabling you to mix home and office-based training. This is a prescribed function role under the Fitness & Probity Regime, requiring an enhanced level of background screening. You must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland / The United Kingdom.

Requirements

  • Minimum essential requirement of 5 Pass GCSEs (including Maths & English) or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers face to face.
  • An enthusiastic telephone manner.
  • Comfortable negotiating and selling.
  • Eligible and authorized to work in Ireland / The United Kingdom.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the insurance sector and branch administration would be beneficial.
  • A third level qualification is desirable.
