We are seeking an experienced Ratabase Developer to design, configure, maintain, and enhance insurance rating solutions utilizing CGI's Ratabase/Ratabase360 platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, and IT teams to implement rating algorithms, product changes, regulatory updates, and system integrations that support business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience working with CGI Ratabase or similar insurance rating platforms.
  • Experience implementing insurance pricing and rating solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance products.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with API-based integrations and web services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ratabase360 cloud implementations.
  • Experience integrating rating engines with policy administration systems.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory filing processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Workers Compensation, Auto, Homeowners, or Specialty products.
  • Understanding of actuarial pricing concepts and rate development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain insurance rating products within the CGI Ratabase platform.
  • Develop and implement rating algorithms, underwriting rules, discounts, surcharges, and product configurations.
  • Collaborate with actuaries and business analysts to translate business requirements into rating solutions.
  • Support new product launches, state expansions, and regulatory filing implementations.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Ratabase and policy administration systems, quoting platforms, portals, and third-party data providers.
  • Perform unit, system integration, and regression testing for rating changes.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot rating discrepancies, production issues, and performance concerns.
  • Create technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including planning, estimation, code/configuration reviews, and releases.
  • Ensure compliance with company governance, security, and audit requirements.
