About The Position

Information Providers, Inc. is seeking a part-time 1099 Insurance Property Inspector in Coos Bay, OR. This role is field-based with a flexible schedule, allowing inspectors to manage their own time. The inspector will conduct on-site inspections of homes and businesses, capturing detailed photographs and documenting key features for underwriting decisions. They will assess property conditions, identify potential hazards, and gather accurate data. The role also involves compiling thorough underwriting survey reports remotely. The company, Information Providers Inc. (IPI), is a leader in Property & Casualty and Premium Audit information services, serving insurance companies nationwide.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory
  • Ability to work independently while managing own schedule and workload
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, smartphones, and Windows-based laptops
  • Ability to complete administrative work remotely and submit reports in a timely manner
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve
  • Ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
