About The Position

Information Providers, Inc. is seeking a part-time 1099 Insurance Property Inspector in Standish and West Branch, MI. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in an independent, field-based schedule, enjoy working on the road, managing their own time, and making a real impact. As an Insurance Property Inspector, you will conduct on-site inspections of homes and businesses, capturing detailed photographs and documenting key features relevant to underwriting decisions. You will assess property conditions, identify potential hazards, and gather accurate data. Subsequently, you will compile thorough underwriting survey reports from your remote workspace, ensuring all details support informed risk evaluation.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory
• Ability to work independently while managing own schedule and workload
• Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, documentation, and reporting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, smartphones, and Windows-based laptops
• Ability to complete administrative work remotely and submit reports in a timely manner
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve
• Ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Dependable, self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality work
• Ability to pass a background check
