About The Position

Information Providers, Inc. is seeking a part-time 1099 Insurance Property Inspector in Amherst, NY. This role is field-based with a flexible, independent schedule. The inspector will conduct on-site inspections of homes and businesses, capturing detailed photographs and documenting key features for underwriting decisions. Responsibilities include assessing property conditions, identifying potential hazards, gathering accurate data, and compiling thorough underwriting survey reports to support informed risk evaluation. This is a 1099 position with flexible weekday hours, dispatching daily from home with no central office reporting required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory
• Ability to work independently while managing own schedule and workload
• Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, documentation, and reporting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, smartphones, and Windows-based laptops
• Ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
