About The Position
The Insurance Prior Authorization Submission Representative works to achieve submission success by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant insurance authorization submissions for mobility equipment and related services. This position is responsible for verifying and reviewing Insurance orders and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with Insurance criteria and guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Prior Authorization experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Reviews clinical documentation from physical therapists and physicians to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and medical necessity requirements
- Maintains knowledge of changing insurance policies, payer requirements, and industry regulations
- Conducts pre-reviews of evaluations for the sales team to identify potential authorization concerns
- Completes orders within 24 hours of entering the queue
- Submits authorization requests to insurance providers, including reviewing quotes, supporting documentation, and medical necessity qualifications
- Achieves departmental productivity and quality expectations
- Performs additional duties as assigned
