The West Palm Beach office of Kubicki Draper, is currently seeking an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant with 1+ years’ experience with experience in litigation. Prior personal injury experience a plus but not required. Must have prior experience managing attorney calendars/scheduling, and drafting legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings and reports. Must have working knowledge of Florida court procedures and be familiar with e-service and e-filing.

Requirements

1+ years’ experience with experience in litigation
Prior experience managing attorney calendars/scheduling
Drafting legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings and reports
Working knowledge of Florida court procedures
Familiarity with e-service and e-filing
Competent & proficient in the use of Word, and Adobe
Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

Scheduling depositions and hearings
Calendaring deadlines and trial orders
Prepare enclosure documents and packages for mail, messenger and overnight delivery; ensure that all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are intact
Prepare, file, and serve legal documents electronically or in hard copy in accordance with the applicable civil rules and local rules
Assist with client billing, as well as invoice payment in cooperation with the billing attorney
