About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with a focus on Personal Injury Defense to join our team. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, providing legal representation for insurance companies and corporate clients in personal injury claims. You will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, including conducting depositions, attending hearings, preparing legal briefs, and trial work.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Louisiana Bar
• 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense and personal injury litigation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines
• Proven ability to manage cases independently and effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Represent insurance companies and clients in personal injury defense cases
• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, and draft motions
• Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Prepare detailed and timely client reports outlining case progress and strategy
• Collaborate with clients and provide legal guidance on case strategy
• Work independently while managing a full caseload and meeting billable hour requirements
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
