About The Position

Clyde & Co seeks an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney with 1-4 years of experience. This practice represents and advises national and international insurers in a broad range of coverage cases across the United States, including a wide range of complex insurance coverage matters, principally involving pollution, toxic tort, asbestos, construction defect, products liability, errors and omissions, and excess liability. This position is currently open to our New Jersey and New York offices.

Requirements

J.D./LLM
Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, additional admissions a plus
Insurance coverage and litigation experience
Excellent academic credentials
1 year of clerkship preferred
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Interpersonal, leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature
Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Responsibilities

Drafting pleadings and briefs
Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients
Analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage recommendations for clients
Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
Drafting interrogatories and document demands
Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation
Attending depositions, hearings, and mediations as required
Submitting filings to the court
