About The Position

The Kaufman Dolowich Los Angeles office is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join their growing and highly collaborative team. Requirements

JD degree with strong academic credentials
Admission to the California Bar required
4+ years of insurance coverage and/or coverage litigation experience
Demonstrated experience interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and litigating coverage matters involving general liability, professional liability (E&O), Directors & Officers (D&O), employment practices liability, cyber, and/or financial institutions coverage
Exceptional writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
Interpret insurance policies and draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and disclaimer letters
Litigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials
Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic advice and regular case updates
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups to develop innovative, client-focused solutions
